2001 Australian Festival Cup

The Australian Festival Cup will be a 3 team round robin tournament played throughout the festival on Saturday and Sunday. Matches will be played from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. on Saturday with the Final being at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.

The Festival Cup will provide a great lead up tournament to the USAFL National Championship with each team getting 3 matches - (3 matches and a placement match) - with the same guidelines as the USAFL Nationals.

The World Series Cricket will be a 3 team round robin tournament played throughout the festival on Sunday. Matches will be played from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.on Sunday with the Final being at 1 p.m. on Sunday.

The World Series Cricket will feature players from India, South Africa, England, USA and more with each team playing 2 matches - (12 overs per Innings). Cricket is played throughout the United States with approximately 10,000 cricket players registered in the United States.

Wallaby Rugby Challenge

The Wallaby Rugby Challenge will feature our sister club, the Nashville Women's Rugby Club taking on the Vanderbilt Women's Rugby Club for the inaugural Wallaby Cup

Australian Festival Cup Championship History

The North Carolina Tigers and the Nashville Kangaroos met before a large crowd in the 2000 Festival Cup Championship. The Roos held a 14 point lead midway through the second half before the young Tigers came storming home to send the game to OT. In OT the Tigers kicked 4 unanswered goals to win the 2000 Championship.
