Biography: Joanne Reid is an Australian who was born one of the Wiradjuri Aboriginee people whose tribal grounds were located in the Lake Cargelligo region of New South Wales, Australia, in 1965.

As a young girl, Joanne experienced life growing up in outback towns such as Gilgandra, Millthorpe, and Blayney in New South Wales. Throughout her childhood years, her first love was sport. The passion to express herself through Aboriginal art developed as she matured.

Joanne feels that being raised in an environment where great emphasis was placed on good family principles: respecting elders, loving one another and living a good Christian life, has helped her to uniquely portray concepts from both western and aboriginal cultures. She now lives with her partner and children Joshua, Simone, Hezekiah, Naomi and Hannah in Orange, a major country center in New South Wales..... Continued - Joanne Reid Bio -

A fine guitarist, a sizzling slide player, and a passionate songwriter, Mason is - above all - an entertainer, eager to share his lust for life every time he straps on a guitar or steps up to a microphone. His songs are a swampy mix of Rock, Country, and Latin, steeped in the Blues, with cinematic lyrics that transport the listener to strange and mysterious places.

Tom Mason has released two CDs, Where Shadows Fall , and A Slide Guitar Christmas , a collection of slide guitar instrumentals, and is currently working on his third, Alchemy. He is a favorite in Nashville area nightclubs, playing solo or leading his own band and Chicken Scratch, and is currently putting the finishing touches on the debut CD by the Americana- hippie-pop supergroup The Big Happy, featuring his wife, the Australian singing sensation Pru Clearwater, and Western Beat stars Billy Block and Jill Block. Trent Summar
& the New Row Mob
United States

Festival Area: Croc Rock Party - Australian Pavilion
Date & Time:
Saturday, Sept. 11, 2004 - 5:00 p.m.

Biography: Armed full of razor-edged influences such as Steve Earle, the Kentucky HeadHunters and Jason & the Scorchers, Nashville singer (and Greenville, Tennessee native) Trent Summar makes no bones about the style of music he plays as he aims to shake things up a bit in Guitar Town: "It's not a cutesy look at life outside the city limits or a musical retro time warp. It's muscle car country. ZZ Top on a honky tonk jukebox country. It's ass-shaking, BBQ-eating, waterbed sleeping, above-ground swimming pool country." His first band, Hank Flamingo, recorded one album for Giant Records to positive reviews. They made an appearance on Late Night With Conan O'Brien, had radio airplay and a video in rotation on CMT, but were best known for their riotous live shows.

In keeping with that tradition, Trent Summar & the New Row Mob’s self-titled debut, on VFR Records, has enjoyed critical and commercial success with the songs “New Money,” “Paint Your Name In Purple” and “It Never Rains In California” getting radio play and video rotation on CMT and GAC.
