Announces 2004 Walkathon Results

The
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation has released preliminary results
from its 2004 Walkathon, held in conjunction with the Australian
Festival at Centennial Park. At the completion of the Walkathon, the Australian Festival
and JDRF held a joint September 11 memorial prior to the Festival's
opening ceremony. According to Jim
Thorpe, JDRF Corporate Recruitment Chair, The 2004 Walk To Cure raised over
$600,000.00, with additional pledges still coming in. Highlighting this was
the top five corporate teams' results:
