American
Healthways Renew Sponsorship
July 7, 2004
The Nashville Kangaroos and the
Australian Festival are pleased to announce that American
Healthways renewed its Club Sponsorship for 2004. American Healthways,
the nation's leader in providing disease and care management services, is
based in Nashville, and became a club sponsor in 2003. Through the support
of local sponsors, the Club runs the G'Day
Mates Schools program as part of the
Australian Festival. G'Day Mates is an
Australian Educational and Recreation experience for school children
featuring three main stations: Kanga Kids (Australian story telling and
the Adventure Science Center showing the skies above Australia), Animals
Down Under (exhibiting Australian animals), and USFootyKids (where the
kids get to learn to play Aussie Football). In addition, each year G'Day
Mates also holds an "Essay Writing Competition" that is always a
highlight for the Festival.
"American Healthways is proud to give
back to the local community," said Ben Leedle, CEO. "Seeing all
the kids having fun and learning about Australia at the same time makes
everything worthwhile. And this year, with the Junior Diabetes Research
Foundation Walk-A-Thon occurring at the same time, well, there could not
be a more perfect opportunity to raise the awareness of one of the leading
chronic diseases affecting not just kids in our local community, but the
country as a whole."
Many thanks to American Healthways for its
continued support! We look forward to seeing everyone at the Festival!
