Kylie
Harris

|
It is over 10,000
miles from Hamilton, New Zealand to the stage of the Grand Ole Opry. That
seems like a long way to travel to pursue a dream, but after tasting
success in her native New Zealand, Kylie Harris’ sights were set on
making her mark halfway around the world in the U.S. Kylie’s sound is
instantly familiar and at the same time very unique. A mix between Linda
Rondstadt’s aching soprano and Shawn Colvin’s passionate delivery, her
voice is mature beyond her years, which makes sense because she’s been
at it for more than half of her life. Visit Kylie's Web Site at www.kylieharris.com.
Kylie can be frequently found singing the national anthems at Roos Home Game. Definitely one of the hottest acts in town and a true Roo Girl!
We are proud and delighted to have Kylie as the 2003 Australian Festival
Headliner!

Pru
Clearwater

|
A graduate of the Australian Country Music College, Pru Clearwater has made huge steps on the country music ladder of success, and has emerged
as one of Australia’s most outstanding female performers. Leading country music journalist Susan Jarvis recently described Pru Clearwater as "a package that includes stunning looks, impressive songwriting talent, powerful onstage presentation and a personality that simply radiates sunshine, this young woman has the potential to take the music industry by storm". It's hard to argue those sentiments - Pru's debut album, Lovechild, has seen three top 5 singles, Golden Guitar and Australian Independent Country Music Awards final berths, and glowing reviews for the album. Her last chart single “Kinda Exactly Like You” was another major hit success, and Pru is also currently touring her enormously successful Shania Twain show.
The Australian Festival is happy to have Pru as hostess of this year’s stage and she will also be performing at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, September 13th and 12:00 Noon on Sunday, September 14th. Be sure and come by the Australian Pavilion and check out this great talent. |
