The Gathering

A “Gathering” in Australia—as its primal name suggests—is a group gathering in a common place to share in spirit and enjoyment. Australians use this term to describe many different forms of groups coming together.

"The Gathering - Australian Homecoming Concert" was held at this year's Australian Festival  on Saturday, September 10, 2005 at 7:30 p.m.

Join us for the biggest Aussie party and show that Nashville has ever seen when 10 artists from the land down under transform Centennial Park and the Australian Pavilion into an Australian Music Extravaganza at The Gathering.

Main acts for this event include is young soul sensation Nessa Morgan with supporting cast by Pru Clearwater.

The Gathering Concept:

The Gathering" concept was introduced to the Festival by Australians Abroad member Andy Townsend (click here for Andy's bio), with his vision of calling all Australian ex-pats now living in the USA to make the trek to Nashville to join fellow Aussies in celebrating their heritage.

* Pru Clearwater, a Nashville resident from New South Wales will also be emcee and host of this great Aussie get together.
